Would you buy a secondhand car seat?

Generally advice is obviously not to buy them secondhand but so many are sold on FB marketplace etc. I'm curious, would you personally buy one or not?

I wouldn't but I'm fortunate to be able to afford it, I do plan on passing ours onto a family member and would probably accept one in the same circumstances where we absolute trust one another.
