DS starting to rebel against nappies, have been thinking about training or EC-ing.

He's almost 15 months, and is weeing, I'd say, about every hour.
i've been letting him have bare-bum time over the past few days, and he loves it, and is now getting upset about his nappies being put on (we use Nature Boy/Girl).
I've been interested in training him early, and bought him a potty a few weeks ago, which he seems to think is a step.
Got him to sit on it earlier tonight, and he thought it was great, but didn't wee in it.
I guess i'm asking for input - i think he's ready, and he's beginning to dislike nappies, so i guess this could be used as an incentive to get him dry.
He's got good understanding of a few phrases and words, so i've been saying "are you doing a wee-wee? you've just had a wee-wee, pssss, pssssssss" etc when i've caught him weeing, and he's watched dp wee a couple of times today, which he found interesting.
errrrrrrrm, words o' wisdom?
thanks in advance.

i don't think he's ready to be potty trained because he doesn't know when he needs a wee yet and when you potty train you sort of have to get stuck into straight away (ie no nappies, no trainer pants and just go for it) but ec could work to help him gradually get there at a slower pace - introduce him to potty, let him sit on it when you think it is likely he will wee, do the psssssss thing so he starts to recognise the cues of needing a wee.

OK NA, that's brilliant, thanks for that. I'll teach him a wee sign, as well. I think it'll be like the gradual pace. He'll wake up shortly, so i'll put him on his potty then.
Thanks for the link, FNF, I shall read it later tonight.
