Really considering baby no3 with DH here! We love our 2 and love being parents

I also love pregnancy and have been so lucky to have 2 amazing ones so far. We have a son and a daughter so said if we were to have a 3rd baby it’d be the first pregnancy where we didn’t find out the sex and had a surprise which is quite exciting in itself!

However I know it’s easier said than done chatting about all of the exciting details, what is it like?

Is it so much more difficult ? Does it impact you extremely financially? I know it will have a financial impact just wondering if it’s major!

Please share your experiences and details we really want to weigh up before TTC!

DS is 6, DD is 3 (nearly 4) ! I’m late 20s DH is mid 30s just to give everyone a grasp of our family dynamic!

2 to 3 was a bit tiring at times but fairly easy. Our eldest was 6 and 2nd 16.5mth when 3rd was born. Financially there wasn't much difference. We had a vectra which was fine for the 5 of us, we had to change to a 7 seater when we had our twins and still got that 7 years later. Still in same 3 bed semi despite having 6 now, do want/need to get a bigger one.

You'll make everything work if you want more.

I don't think going from 2 to 3 was massively different from having 2 kids but it has it's challenges. I found going from 3 to 4 kids was a lot harder than going from 2 to 3. In some ways it's hard to give each child the level of attention they need all of the time and it can be limiting. Things like when hubby's in work and I take them out for the day, it's stressful. I think a lot depends on the ages of the kids though.

I didn't find it particularly difficult, mine were 11 and 8 when DD2 came along so I'd parted with all the baby items and had to start fresh, but dynamic wise it wasn't much different.

Thank you for sharing your experiences :)

I think we really are set on a 3rd but have just had some scaremongering from family/friends saying our lives would be over we’d never be able to go on holiday or have a child free night again etc - so I was just curious as our close circle all seem to be very anti third child aha!
