12 week old baby won't settle through the day!!

I have a 12 week old baby who has been really unsettled since he was 2 weeks old. This starts at 7am every single morning!! and then stops between 8-9pm and then he settles for the night.
He is happy for about an hour of the day, I spend the Majority of the day settling him. He naps for about 30 mins at the most unless we are out in the pram then he wakes up crying so I'm trying to calm him down again then he goes back asleep and it's the same cycle all day, I am not settling him to get him to sleep but because it takes that long to settle him he ends up falling asleep so he sleeps for the majority of the day, again it gets to 8pm and he settles
This is becoming so hard as I have a 3 year old son at home who also needs my attention I feel so bad because I am spending my whole day settling my baby!

The doctors diagnosed him with reflux so we changed him onto anti reflux milk and after the 1st bottle he was like a different baby he was so content and happy, this lasted for about a week then it all started all over again
He isn't throwing a lot of milk up, maybe a little bit through the day but they only diagnosed him with it as since he was born he's always sounded congested, coughs and he always has hiccups and seems like he is in pain.Confused

I thought maybe it could be colic as my oldest boy had that but he weren't unsettled all day! Find it strange as he settles fine as soon as it gets to 8pm

I Guess I'm just looking for some advise 🤦🏻‍♀️

An mn classic but have you tried using a sling? Being upright will ease the reflux symptoms.

I had the same... a baby carrier and a Rockit saved me Grin

Have you looked into whether he has a dairy intolerance/CMPA? I think coughing, congestion and hiccups can be a sign?

All sounds normal to me? They just don’t settle at this age.. you end up either holding them, rocking them, carrying them in a sling or trying to go for a walk. Exhausting! Can you take your 3yo to places like soft play where they can run around and you can have baby on your lap? Also, is he definitely not hungry?
