Name changed as outing. Split with ex partner early last year, everything worked well with arrangements however he met someone end of last year and arrangements are being changed/messed about, contact has declined and relationship has become confrontational. DC is 2.5 and resides with me 80% of the time normally. This is a very short version of a long story.
Please could someone talk me through the process of either getting a residency order or a child arrangement order? I understand we would both need to attend mediation. If we agreed something at mediation could it still go to the court for it to be approved? Would the court reject anything with both agreed to? Ideally we just need something in writing we both agree to, to stop them messing DC about.
