Today I took my 9m old baby to one of our usual weekly baby clubs. It is story/song based and basically everyone sits in a circle, toys in the middle, babys and toddlers play or sit on laps/crawl around etc. There is a leader who sings the songs and reads the stories and the parents and children join in with words and actions. It's fun, dd seems to enjoy it.
Anyway back to today. A new lady and her baby join in. During the songs she sang really loudly just randomly started saying different words to the songs. It wasn't even like the songs were unknown, it was twinkle twinkle and you are my sunshine. She even tried to sing a different animal to the whole group when singing Old MacDonald Had a Farm. We were all singing a Chick with a cheep cheep here, cheep cheep there and shes like oink oink here oink oink there.
I was telling Dh and now thinking about it has made me irrationally annoyed 😂
Does anyone else have a funny baby group story?
At a toddler group with older DS there was a mum who refused the milk/ juice and biscuits on offer and claimed her son (about 16/18m maybe) only drank sparkling water and preferred Fox's biscuits so she brought her own full pack of biscuits. The Asda malted milks just weren't acceptable.
