Hi 👋 I was just wondering which baby formula everyone recommends and why? I fed my now 4 year old SMA when he was a baby but I have heard is isn't the best? Im having my 2nd baby in august and was wondering weather to change from SMA to a different brand? TIA x

@Ohya

You can order it online directly from them with no delivery charge. They’re having supply issues so limited to 2 boxes per order but they’re in stock online now

Hipp Organic for my first, Hipp Comfort for the second as she couldn't tolerate standard version

Every formula in the UK has to contain the same ingredients, however, some contain more or less of certain things than others do which is why babies react differently to different formula.

It's impossible to know though what your baby will agree with so to start with your best bet is to get whichever one is easiest for you to get and/or cheapest. If baby doesn't get on with that you can then swap.

We started our Son off on Cow and Gate because it was the cheapest near me and the one that was in my local shop as it's a 20min drive to the next shop/supermarket. However, he had terrible constipation and 'colicky' symptoms on it. We eventually changed him to Hipp Organic and he was like a different baby!

I'm pregnant with my second and will put them straight on to Hipp just because it worked so well for my Son but it might not work for this baby, it really is just trial and error

Honestly, i was determined to not get tied down to a brand after 6 months. I used aptamil comfort with my son and mamia with my daughter. After 6 months i purposefully rotated brands so that I wouldn't worry if I couldn't get a particular one. I did like HIPP purely for the less plasticy packaging. I used to decant it into a mamia tin.

Only swap if the are showing signs of it not agreeing with them.

We started off on cow & gate, baby was having diarrhea and was unsettled. We swapped to hipp organic and saw a massive improvement, she's started weaning now and I was expecting more stinky nappies but they haven't been. We are swapping from the stage 1 to 2 now as that is often on offer.

@Bigdreamer9

Thank you. I actually didn't think of ordering from their website but I ordered 4 from Amazon and they've arrived although price was a little hiked. I'll do that when this finishes in a month.
