18 month old - separation anxiety and resettling at nursery

I wonder if anyone has any pearls of wisdom!

My 18 month old DD has been at a great nursery since she was 1, and once she settled in she would happily go in every morning. However in December she had a week off poorly and then Christmas break and since we went back on the 4th, every day she is inconsolable again at the door. Its got to the point today where she doesn't want to leave the house as she knows we are going to get on the bus to go there.

Shes extremely clingy atm anyway and I think shes peak separation anxiety. 9/10 she goes to her nursery worker, has a cuddle and then is fine for the rest of the day so its more 'Leaving Mummy' rather than 'I hate nursery' but I am worried she seems to be getting worse at drop off, rather than better.

I am trying to keep a robust routine for her but not sure if I or the nursery can do anything else, or if I just have to ride out a tough few weeks again?

She just needs to get back into the routine of it that's all.
Off I'll then off for Christmas is a long break for LO'S.

I think it's normal to go through phases like this. My little boy has been the same. Before Christmas he would walk into nursery and now we are back to me having to pull him off me to give to the nursery worker!

This week he's already a bit better. Still crying mostly but just finding it hard to adjust to not being with mummy all the time!
