How do I get breastmilk to my baby in nursery?

I'm starting my second child in nursery and she will be 3 months old. How do I get breast milk to her? I would be keen to hear other peoples experiences. Is it a matter of providing pumped milk in bottles and accepting some will go to waste? How do I know how much to give? what if I don't have enough? Do I just pass it over in a cooler bag or is it reasonable to expect the nursery to have a freezer stash? Thanks so much for any experience / help you are offer :)

Honestly I’d ask the nursery - only they can clear up the questions for you. All nurseries do things differently . I’m presuming she takes a bottle already?

For example some nurseries if formula fed provide formal ], others don’t. Some have freezers some don’t.

I just dropped off enough for the day when I dropped DS off in the morning and they kept it in a fridge. It had to be clearly labelled and dated. Surely you know how much she has in a day?

A breastfed 3 month old is very young to leave in a nursery. I assume it will be passing over a cool bag with enough milk for the day, daily. If you're worried its not enough, send a few cartons of formula too? You're best to speak to the nursery as they will know their policies and procedures.

Mine started at just over four months, I send her with 4*3-4oz bottles. They say to do 1-3 Oz for every hour baby is away from you. I needed to send bottles of milk, rather than stored milk, as they don't wash bottles, etc. I've never needed a cool bag: they come out of my fridge, ten mins to nursery then into their fridge.

I used to send it in milk storage tubs that fitted onto my Philips breastpump. Nursery then heated up however much they needed for a bottle. Check with your nursery.
I did also take in a tub of formula as I couldn't express enough, but i figured mixed fed was better than fully ff.

I provided 4 x 4oz bottles a day when ds started nursery at 4 months, plus the nursery were happy to have a few bags of milk in their freezer just in case. Sometimes he didn't have the 4th bottle (fed on demand) and as it was dated the nursery would keep that in their fridge overnight and I'd take 3 in the next day (and freeze the excess). It worked out really well, and he was exclusively on breast milk till 6 months and BF till he was 2
