Are you a HV or community midwife in Scotland?

If so, given the latest updates, what are your current guidelines for home visits?

I'm not an HV but I have had a baby recently had given visits from midwives and HV throughout with no difficulty, including yesterday! Are you worried they won't come out to you?

@SomethingBeginningWithX Not at all - we’ve been very lucky throughout with our HV actually. I’ve been informed that my HV is waiting for PCR results for a member of her household. If positive she will need PCR. As long as hers are negative apparently she will still be doing our home visit this week which I’m not sure that I’m comfortable with at all!

Ah ok I see. I guess you could ask her not to come, I think they would understand you wanting to reschedule! Fingers crossed for negatives 😩

@SomethingBeginningWithX Yeah I’m just going to give her a phone this morning. Given the current isolation rules for the public are to all isolate if there’s a positive in the house then I find it odd that theirs are different when they’re visiting children 🤔😬

I don't think there are different rules for HV than anyone else.

HV visits are optional anyway (i think apart from the 10 day one) so you could just ask her not to come or to phone instead?
