Managed to get first diss into her last night but she screamed and I know every one will be a battle for the next 10 days 😣

Can I put it in juice?

We use Milky Way Magic Stars as a bribe. One per dose.

Going by the reaction last night, I don't think that'll work 😕 I'd rather her not know that she's taking it IYSWIM.

I assume it’s a liquid? We mixed it in with yoghurt or a fruit purée or something like that.

Although, what antibiotic is it? Because I once had liquid flucloxacillin (I’m not good with swallowing pills) and it is truly vile. I put 5ml of it into about a pint of orange juice and the OJ was still the worst thing I’d ever tasted. As an adult you can do it like a shot and just get it down (although it made me retch and several doses came straight back up) but I don’t think it would be possible to get a child to take it. I’d ask if there was an alternative if they ever gave that to DD.

We used jelly beans as a bribe, but if she absolutely refuses to take it maybe the dr can give her something else? Some of those antibiotics do taste awful.

It's penicillin, very dark pink colour, been mixed with water 🤔 yoghurt is a good idea!

We've mixed the yellow banana one with chocolate milk before. I have a feeling that the penicillin is so vile it's impossible to mask, though, sorry OP. Good luck.

We had a chocolate fairy who would leave chocolate to find if medicine was successfully swallowed.
Each dose was followed by a chocolate hunt. Worked for us

I use a syringe like you get with calpol rather than a spoon, find I can get it in a bit easier! Can bribe with a treat also.

Notwithittoday · 09/12/2021 10:48

I mix with petit filous

FindingMyselfAgain2022 · 09/12/2021 16:16

Turns out I can get her to take it on the promise of a peanut M&M after Grin
