What shall I buy? I have to be about to get an official receipt.

PS - I only intend to spend around £30, s I already have some basics.

That was the problem I had Tits.
Didn't have much to spend either so had to buy used, for which I could claim bugger all back for.

LadyOfTheHollyAndTheIvy · 14/12/2007 14:30

Oh sorry.
You already have some stuff.

I do - I am wondering if I should sensibly get some more prefolds and a wrap, or splurge on 1 really posh velour purple rump extravaganza

OP posts:
coldtits · 14/12/2007 16:06

anyone else - I mainly use prefolds, but am becoming increasingly tempted by the pretty velvet ones1

PortAndLemonaid · 14/12/2007 16:27

Are you basically happy with the prefolds, or is there something about them that you'd like to be improved (other than their general non-purpleness and lack of beauty)?

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 16:34

Ooo i've been trying to find out same thing. I am using pre folds at the mo but have ordedered and brought some second hand pocket nappies. Can't wait for all my funky bits to arrive.

coldtits · 14/12/2007 16:41

I am basically happy with the prefolds - could do with some more ... but the are such a pointless thing to buy new. They are just as good second hand - better, in fact, because they are more absorbant. Whereas beautiful and pretty nappies are also convenient and would be great for swanking about at toddler group.

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 16:52

Pmsl at the toddler group. Maybe i will go when mine arrive. Lol. I'm going to use my pre folds to stuff my new pockets.

coldtits · 14/12/2007 17:58

so go on then - practicality or beauty? Cos prefolds are great and I use them by choice, but those lovely velvety ones...

OP posts:
Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 18:33

well hate to say it but i have been won over by beauty! if i have the option to have my daughter in gorgeous nappies like bright pink with spots, moo cow designs, fairys ect ect ect then that wins. but i will let you know! dh has not attempted a pre fold yet even though they are amazingly easy..... he just stares in bewilderment! (sp?)

moondog · 14/12/2007 18:36

I wish someone would bloody buy my entire Bambino Mio stock of nappies (tonnes and tonnes of 'em) to last from 3 mths to 3 years.

£100

They are cluttering up my garage.

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 18:57

moondog have you tried here www.usednappies.com

moondog · 14/12/2007 19:46

coldtits · 14/12/2007 20:36

pmsl at coldtits

LadyOfTheHollyAndTheIvy · 14/12/2007 21:19

Cold, if you want anymore prefold covers or prefolds for that matter, let me know as I have some for sale.
You can get some patterned prefold covers too. I have cotton bottom ones with Andy Pandy, blue ones with 'space babies', and some with frogs on, though I am still using those, but they sometimes come up on ebay and quite cheaply as Cottom Bottoms is discontinued.

LadyOfTheHollyAndTheIvy · 14/12/2007 21:20

any more....

moondog · 14/12/2007 21:28

Lol Coldtits.
It's true, they do all have weird names like that don't they?

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 21:30

wow patterened pre folds

Jas · 14/12/2007 21:35

I'd buy pretty wraps, rather than actual nappies, as they aren't really on show that much.

Having said hat, I've had to sell on all the nice looking wraps (includig lovely berry plush) as ds' thighs are too fat to fit them

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 21:44

oh dear jas! can you not buy bigger ones?

justbeme · 14/12/2007 22:03

Ive just bought from this web site - Bumgenius - BOGOF - theyre one size - fit up to potty training, you dont need a wrap, and they are FAB!! I added an extra bit of towelling for night time in the pocket, and 14 hrs later (!!!!!) they hadnt leaked!
They dry really quick too!)

BOGOF

Santasmissyontheside · 14/12/2007 22:06

i did see them i am just hoping that they still have some when i order tomorrow night! how old is your dc? i am looking for a god night nappy!

justbeme · 14/12/2007 22:10

Shes 5 mths old - so far they havent leaked - Ive been using Little Lambs and Motherease before, but these are by far the best!!
I bought 10 for £70 (postage was then free) - wish I'd bought 12 now!!
