Walking home from school today with my young children we came across 4 boys from a higher year knocking on peoples doors and then running away and I'm certain i heard some swearing going on also. I caught up with the boys just bit down the road and confronted them saying do we really think that was appropriate behaviour? knocking on peoples houses and then running away and I said do you think the headteacher would be very happy with this behaviour of course they was all very quiet and didn't say much to me so I said next time let's use our brains please and I will be speaking to the headteacher about this.
When I got home I did phone the school I've recently started working for the school so do feel this should be reported its not what our school behaviour policy is we don't expect pupils to behave like that the school has quite a strong name in the town and as they still have the uniform on I was just appales . Id be so ashamed if that was my kids
However my guilt is now settling in im becoming one of those people who grass on other kids
What would you have done?

I would have rang the school. I’m an ex teacher and I know a good secondary school would want to know and deal with it.

You work at their school, you did the right thing by sharing the information.
