Almost 3 year old terrified of adults... anyone else have this?

We live away from family and not very close to friends so he's only really seen adults from a distance, especially during covid. He is fine with other children but if adults approach him he outs his head down, sometimes covers his eyes and his bottom lip comes out. He won't look up until I assure him they've gone and then when he knows they've gone he gets upset like a relief and won't let me go.

He doesnt go to nursery and won't until January when he turns 3.

Amy advice on how to deal with this?

have you got the means to send him before he's 3? Just a day a week? Nursery doesn't just need to be to help with childcare , but to help the kid too. If you're concerned about adult interaction I would do that

Sorry just seen thats 3 months away. I'd definitely consider it - presuming you / partner will be working so could be good to ease him in until you're back at work (presuming there, sorry!)
