I keep seeing that baby can have fan in room but never pointed directly at. But they never say why?

Does anyone know?

Once i fell asleep with a fan on me, slept well but in the morning my eyes were like the Sahara desert i couldn't even open them it felt like they were stuck!
For a baby they probably wouldn't be able to do anything if they are too cold or not comfy. It's a bit aggressive for them and unnatural

Point it at yourself for a while and you'll see, dries out your throat 😮‍💨

It’s to do with them not being able to regulate their own temperature, so if they warm and you point a fan at them they’re body may cool too quickly and can be quite bad. Or something like that- it’s been about 10 months since I last read about it 😂

The Lullaby Trust advice that it is due to babies not being able to regulate their temperature. They may not be able to move out of the way of the fan if it’s causing them to get too cold and shiver.
