New SMA comfort formula - awful! What is the best colic formula.

Hi just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same as me. My 3 month old baby is on SMA comfort formula for her colic and it worked perfectly but now they’ve changed the formula and it’s so gloopy! (See photos) I’ve tried every way to prepare the bottle (prep machine, boiling water etc) and it’s still so gloopy. I rang SMA and they said I have to boil the kettle, wait 20 mins, shake vigorously and feed straight away which isn’t ideal when I’m out and about and the bubbles cause more symptoms of colic. And the old SMA formula has been discontinued.

Has anyone experienced the same thing or does anyone have any advice on the best alternative colic formula.

Hey!

So, I'm in exactly the same boat - sadly not offering a solution. I bought one pot of the new comfort SMA and had exact same issue. The mixture was soo gloopy and there were lumps! I ended up chucking the pot away and drove round as many Asda, Boots and Tescos as I could locally to get the old tins. We've now run out and I've gone on to the normal SMA which is less gloopy than the comfort stuff but my son just doesn't enjoy it in the same way. I must admit even looking at it I can see why - it just doesn't look as creamy as the old formula. I'm really so disappointed as he was doing so well on old stuff... wonder why they had to change! My son is also having a bit of a poorly tummy but I know this can happen when changing formulas so trying not to worry about that too much for now.

What are you thinking of doing next? I'm nervous to try another brand in case it really upsets him. Wish there was a place that had a LOAD of the told tins - I would buy as many as I could possibly carry! In fact, had I have known they were discontinuing then I would have done this!
