are bambino mio shaped nappies and miosoft wraps any good?

i'v talked my friend into trying reusables and she's seen these in toys r us. i don't want her to be put off using reusables cos she buys at rubbish nappy she doesn't get on with first time round. any views?

any any experience with these?

I hated them, nearly put me off using cloth completely because the poo shot out of the prefold all over the wrap, and I had believed them when they told me I didn't have to change the wrap each time

my friend used them because they were the cheapest to buy but now really regrets it for the same reasons as flamesparrow i think. I have used tots bots bamboozles which admittedly were v expensive to start with but have always found them great, no regrets.

cheritongirl - did you use the prefolds or the shaped ones?

i thought bambino mio only did prefolds- thats the impression from their website as well

There are shaped ones?? I have never heard of them either.

Toys R Us do tots too which are shaped

I use bambino mios and have done since DD was about 1 week old. I think they are great - no complaints at all.

Ooops sorry - didn't notice bit about shaped ones - no idea what these are. I use bambino mio pre folds.

I had a problem with the miosoft wraps (although with prefold bambino mios)

Basically the velcro at the top kept folding back on itself and rubbing against DDs tummy. I eventually sold my birth to potty pack when she was 5 months old as one day her tummy was red raw.

That said she was a very active baby. My Godson is still in his at 16 months and his mum gets on fine with them.

umm................. nappyaddict- they are the prefolds- i've never heard of bambino mio shaped nappies. The prefolds however are incredibly useful for everything except using as a nappy- fab for cleaning windows

nappyaddict - do you mean the bamboozles i used? I used shaped ones, not sure they do pre-folds. have i caused confusion?!
