Signs of readiness to toilet train?

My 21 month old (yes, had to manually count that out!) is showing lots of interest in toileting at the moment.
Every time someone goes into the bathroom she says ‘ mummy/daddy/whoever wee wee?’ And if I take her with me she will say ‘weeweee! Weewee!’ Until I produce Grin (which gives me stage fright half the time). She will sometimes sit on her potty (fully clothed) whilst I wee, or try to ‘help’ by giving me toilet roll.
Sometimes when I change her nappy I’ll ask if she wants to sit on the potty and she almost always does but she never produces anything (quite happy to sit there for a while though!) and doesn’t want a nappy back on.

Basically, she’s very interested in it all but never produces anything? Is she ready? Is she not? Should I be doing something to encourage her? I’m clueless!

There’s no reason not to offer the option as morning and evening getting her dressed and seeing how it goes. But probably most 21 month olds probably wouldn’t be ready. I think most of them need to have the verbal skills to be able to communicate with you about it and also the motivation (to be like friends who use the potty).

Mine were pretty verbal and motivated and we didn’t do it til 2.5 and 3 years respectively.
