Need some sort of gate for the patio doors?

My DD (1yr) has discovered that she loves the garden, which is brilliant. But I live in a block of maisonettes and the garden is communal. In the summer I like to have the back patio door open but it's in my living room. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas about some sort of stair gate to keep her from escaping lol

We had a babyDan thing that was like a room divider when our DC were young. They come in very long sizes and can add extensions on etc like this

We have a gate with a long extension section so it opens at one side. Dream baby. Works exactly as you describe!

I’ve seen one like this that attach to the wall and you pull out so when it’s not across it’s not in the way; thinking about getting one for similar reasons
