Bottle Making

Hi All,

Can people please explain how they make their baby formula bottles from fresh?

How do you make bottles to store in fridge for night feeds please?

How do you use prep machine please? Do you use cooked boiled water and how much water do you put in? Do you empty water after every use? Is it right that milk feels almost cold? I haven't used prep machine yet due to opinions about them but wanting to know how you use them if so decide to.

Just assessing all bottle making options.

What do mums find best for night feeds? Also in day, my baby doesn't really stick to times so the way the back of the formula tin suggests to make bottles takes too long, and baby ends up being 'hangry' waiting for food.

Thanks

We used to make up two bottles on a morning, flash cool them and put one in the fridge and give the other to the baby. Every time the baby wanted a feed, we'd use the bottle from the fridge and make up the next.

When we went out we'd take the made up bottle, kept in the cool section of the changing bag, along with an empty bottle and a carton of uht formula.

In the evening, we'd wash and sterilise everything for the following day. In the early days when the baby woke in the night we'd use the uht cartons but they slept through from a month old so it didn't last long.

Btw my children didn't mind the milk being cold.
