Thats really stupid. If they take 4 weeks to mark each essay then you wont be able to read their notes before the next essay is due therefore wont know what you need to improve on

I have finally more or less caught up on all reading, although not taken it all in 100%.

im ready to start tma3 although not looking forward to it!!

at least we still have 2 weeks left

i had a look at TMA3 at the weekend and have written all the headings i need to write about and a brief description of what i have to write under each heading. Ive also printed off the lists of words.

Going to do the experiment on my dp tonight but might be naughty and make the others up! il try and find people to do it on first though.

im a bit stuck on what to write for the intro for WHY i am carrying out this experiment and why i feel the need for this experiment.

The method bit i think will be ok which is the main of it, and also the results and discussion part.

i think you should maybe speak to the OU about your tutor. Say you understand they have 4 weeks in which to mark the assignments, but it effects your following assignment as you dont know what you need to improve on.
They might be able to do something about it.

Good luck with this week assgnment writing!! [s mile]

i am not doing well at all. only done about a quarter so far as my computer has had a virus and ive been spending all my spare time sorting that out.

This is the first time ive been able to access internet since Monday evening and i doubt it will last long!!

i have also got no idea where my cd rom is for the spss stuff. Ive never used it before and am seriously doubting weather i was actually sent it in the first place as i keep all my cd roms from the OU together.

But i think i can download it from the website but that depends on weather the internet holds up!

very behind and stuck on the introduction

just want this TMA to be over and done with

i want to cry!!

the spss software isn't on the website so now im fucked!!

argh i dont know what to do! its too late for me to ask to have a copy sent to me and i need it for my TMA wednesday.

its times like this i wonder why the hell im doing this

OP posts:
juicychops · 10/02/2008 12:20

at last i am sorted out. ive found my SPSS cd rom, i have nnow set broadband and email up on my laptop so im all up and running now.

i also had to go hospital this morning as im having trouble breathing. turns out i have an infection in my windpipe and a chest infection so i might have to have tomorrow of work which will give me an extra day to work on my essay

did you email your tutor yet?

Cant believe she still hasn't even looked at TMA2 yet!

Hiya pudding thats bad news about TMA02, hopefully she will be able to recover the missing bit and give you a full mark. would she not allow you to re-send it?

im sure you haven't done as bad on TMA03 as you think. i thought i did badly but managed to surprise myself. my tutor does seem to be good at marking quickly.

yes, infection is almost gone. It is still uncomfortable when i breathe in deeply, but think its this cold weather not doing it any good.

hopefully you wont have to wait as long for tma3 marks. maybe you should consider speaking to OU about her? they might be able to allocate you to a different tutor?

still not got far with my tma04. done about 400 words. got to finish by sunday really as i work mondays and tuesdays

another fun packed night of working out what to write!!

good luck with yours

Hi Pudding how are you getting on? i got my mark back for TMA04 and got 68% which is C+. a bit disappointed with it as this is my lowest score so far but my tutor has made lots of comments on what i can improve on so hopefully i can do better next time.

i hope you get your mark a bit quicker than previous TMAs

hope you are getting on ok in general. not much longer to go now.... 2 TMAs and an exam!

where will you have to go for your exam?

i have to go to East Malling

Hi Pudding wow thats a great mark for TMA04!!

i have been working on TMA05 every night for the past 3 weeks and i finally posted it this morning. its such a weight off my shoulders.

i have no idea how i have done, but unlike the last couple of TMAs, i know i really have tried my best with this one so its either good enough or its not.

only one more TMA to go then exam!

im also starting a short 15 point course next month Applying Psychology which only lasts 2 months. Im quite looking forward to that one, but it will be hard work doing both at the same time

How are you getting on with TMA05?
which themes did you come up with from the thematic analysis?

How are you getting on too Joash?

No im not doing the residential course this year. i wanted to do the online version because being a single parent there is no way i could stay away for a week. its too far for me to come home each night.

but my tutor said i dont have to do it this year so leave it for now as the online one is very demanding

i cant remember off by heart properly but my themes were something like idealistic working models, role reversal, choice and agency, and acceptance. i ended up having to print the transcript off 3 times as there was so much notes (mostly crossings out and crap) and then the 3rd one for the highlighting

hi pudding and joash

i got 77% B on my TMA05 so really really happy with that. i tried so hard on this one so atleast its paid off.

have no idea which topics to choose for TMA06 though. its a bit daunting!

got my huge text book for my next course (DSE232) and the first TMA for that is due a day before our exam! so thats going to be tricky to keep the 2 seperate and revise the correct stuff...

Hi pudding any news yet? how are you getting on with TMA06? im struggling a bit with what to write about and how to set it out

are you going to any of the study days for the exam? ive booked a day to go to my local one but not sure if im going to be able to as getting a babysitter is proving very difficult. really want to go as they will apparently give out lots of notes etc that you can only get from these study days, not from the OU directly

will be very disappointed (and worried) if i cant go

hope your getting on ok.

how are you getting on too Joash?
