I think my 7 month old still wants a swaddle

My almost 8 month old has been in her own room since 6 months, sleeping in a swaddle transition sack which is a loose sleeping bag (after using swaddles when she was in my room). For a few weeks this was fine and she slept OK though not as well as when she was swaddled. She slept 10-12 uninterrupted hours with a swaddle and now she sleeps less and wakes up through the night. This last week has been even worse and when I put her down she starts fussing and flailing. She wakes up so many times now and I'm exhausted. Tonight I tried tying her transition sack at the arms and she immediately settled (I have not kept it like that, just wanted to test!). She cannot roll yet but I'm not sure what to do! Should I swaddle again?

I think it’s still safe if she can’t roll. My worry would be that she learned to roll while in it and then got stuck. So maybe it depends on how close she is to rolling?

I would try and persevere since she will have to give it up eventually even if she goes back to a swaddle now. Hopefully she will get used to it with a bit more experience.
