Sleep trained baby having a random bad night - not sure of protocol!

We used the Ferber method with our 11 month old DD about six weeks ago and she's been sleeping wonderfully ever since. Until tonight! She's been awake for nearly an hour now. I went in to reassure her after 20 minutes (just like when we sleep trained), and am about to go back in now another 30 minutes has passed. Is this the right thing to do? I'm pretty sure it's teething - she's had Calpol. I really don't want to mess this up after we've had such a good run.

She's teething - she's in pain! Don't just leave her to cry for half an hour (reccomendations are max 8 minutes or the child gets too distressed), go in and comfort her! She's a baby, she's hurting, she needs love and attention.

You can always redo the training when the tooth is through, but leaving a baby in pain to cry for half an hour is really not on. I did CC myself, and everything i read said to ditch the rulebook if your baby is teething or sick and just give them what they need.
