My baby is 6 months. We have a joie spin 360 car seat but head drops forward when sleeping. Anyone use any products to stop this from happening that they recommend? Thanks

For the Mica I believe you can purchase the Pearl comfort insert to use with the seat, but double check this with Maxi Cosi. It's certainly a huge jump from the newborn insert to nothing.

We have the same problem with the Mica Angry DD is only 5 weeks old and I’m too scared to drive her without someone in the back to pick her head up. Again, it’s because of the angle of the rear car seats (SEAT Ibiza). Sigh.

Yes if you have very sloped rear seats (which is becoming more and more common) they cause havoc with rear facing car seats. There are a few seats on the market which counteract this but it's a shame it's not explained when you buy the seat really.

Thanks, @BertieBotts. Glad to know it’s not just me doing something wrong! Can I ask which car seats you know of that work better with sloping seats?

Fords seem to be particularly rubbish for this. We had the Britax tilt base for the infant stage which was good. The Britax 2 Way Elite is a good stage 1 seat (9kg up) but is non-isofix and can rear face to 25kg. I find it irritating to swap between cars though. Cybex Sirona was less good for recline and isn't long lasting for long in the back children. We had to go 0+ early with DC1 because she was constantly getting her arms out of the 3 point harness - hence the Cybex!

Spin seats: Besafe izi twist/turn - they fit differently so the isofix leg extends and points really high in the air meaning the seat's fit is independent of the seat it's on.

ERF to 25kg seats: Britax two way elite, Axkid minikid/move.

Infant seats: Britax Babysafe 2 i-size with Flex base, Joie i-Gemm/i-Snug with i-Advance base. Or anything you can fit with seatbelt as it tends to be more adjustable this way.

For forward facing you can use any seat and it won't matter as much because the tilt is in the "right" direction!
