Advice please - 3 month old waking every 2 hours at night

I’m a FTM. My boy is 16lbs so not little. He can do a good stretch at start of the night. Can be up to 5 hours. After this he tends to wake up every 2 hours afterwards. I exclusively breast feed and tend to offer every time he wakes but thinking now he may just want the comfort and if he can stretch even just a couple more hours it’ll be an achievement. Any suggestions and advice from mums who have had similar experiences? I try to give him as much milk as I can throughout the day but sometimes he just doesn’t want it so I can’t force him to. Thanks

OH sleeps downstairs. He takes him out during the day for couple hours or so so I can rest. He won’t settle with anyone else but me right now
So does that means he's not working ATM? If he's home full time with you he needs to be doing a lot more during the day so you can get proper rest.

No experience of bf babies but colic, wind, reflux etc? If he's uncomfortable after a feed might those be a possibility?

He is working at moment. He does all he can. The baby doesn’t like bottles so that’s out the picture currently.

He has mild reflux which seems to be getting better, but he sleeps on his front and has done for weeks as he just can’t settle on his back despite my best efforts

Mine did that until about 7-8 months then took a midnight feed and 4am feed and was up at 7am for the day. Feeding at night dropped at 1 year old, but waking up for water or snuggles will continue for a long time!!!

I asked about work as you said he'd out with baby a few hours a day. If he's working then yes of course it limits what he can do.

If he can roll himself into his tummy, id leave him on it.

Unfortunately it's just one of those ages where you have to endure. Get as much sleep as you can around the baby, name she DP is looking after his baby not doing you a favour, and this too shall pass

Please don't let your tiny baby sleep in bed with you on his tummy, it is NOT safe. Sleeping on his tummy and bed sharing are not safe sleep and increase the risk of sids. Baby needs to be on his back and in an empty cot for every sleep.
