My baby hit his forehead on hollow steel pipe that's the metallic armrest of our sofa. It was a loud noise when his head struck. I felt scared .
He cried for a while after but nothing more.
No redness was seen. Can such bumps cause long term change in his brain or change his behaviour ??

One summer my toddler fell out of the front door and smacked this head on the concrete. Screamed for a while. I panicked phone the Dr to be told it's when they go quiet you need to worry and to keep an eye on them for a bit, all was fine. As a mum just go with your gut.

Baby cried straight away so that shows baby was knocked Unconscious, so crying is good.

Baby will be fine, just keep an eye on him/her, I would call GP if baby starts to vomit.

Sorry just seen your question. Quiet as in no immediate crying , then not acting normal after . Going sleepy .
I'm sure by now you would have an indication something is amiss.

I also meant..:

Baby cried straight away so that shows baby was NOT knocked Unconscious, so crying is good.
