Maternity gift - second baby? What would you have wanted?

A friend is having a second baby (boy) and we have organised a maternity collection. The trouble is, she already has one boy, all the clothes/essentials etc so we are a bit stuck at what to get her! Second time parents - what would have been really useful to you/ necessary/ wonderful extravagance when you had your second? Budget is around £300.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I'm in Tier 1 and there's hardly anything, it sucks.

I got given an £80 gift card for Neal's Yard and I loved it!

I think gift cards would be best, and maybe something like a nice and cute jumper for baby.

Good luck!

Not classes in the middle of a pandemic.

The thing I mostly want is help! Someone to entertain my toddler. But you can’t do that with a collection, so I agree that something practical like Cook vouchers or similar is the way forward, plus a smaller amount on shop vouchers and then keeping a little back to send mum some flowers and chocolates etc after birth.

Ooh that just gave me an idea. In my town there's a service called "mother's little helpers" (offering help with all sorts - housework, childcare, delivering home cooked food, etc) and they sell gift vouchers. If someone had given me some, I would have been insanely grateful.

If she is breastfeeding something like a hoodie from www.stylishmum.co.uk ? Something for mum would be nice ?

Buy a token gift of a cute outfit or something and give the rest in vouchers. I got some for Boots and Amazon and I just let people know what I had bought with them.
