Are squares of watermelon ok for weaning?

I picked up one of those packets of ready-cut watermelon from M&S yesterday to try feeding to my DS, who is 6.5 months and has just started to wean. The melon is cut into big square chunks - is that ok from a choking POV?

Make small triangles with the skin on. Much easier for them to hold, and doesnt disintegrate when they squash it with thei little fists. Actually great for all types on melon, keeps my dd busy for ages
