Can you still receive Child Tax Credits when receiving teaching bursary (ie £6k) for PGCE?

just wondering as am a single parent and dont know how i would make ends meet.. the course i want to do is 16months long rather than one year so would prob be part time bursary.

I don't know. I think that there are other means tested benefits that are available to you while you are training to teach, and I don't think that they are loans.....I'll google for you

and this is on top of the £6000-9000 bursery

I'm doing a part time PGCE and was told by the tax office that the bursery didn't have to be declared
