A bit anxious about this after reading other threads - after I boil water, cool for 30 mins make bottles, I let them sit in cold water for about 30 mins before putting them in the fridge. Am scared now I am making perfect environment for bacteria. My baby boy is 8 weeks, perfect, healthy, strong, smiling...

I am on my own and if I accidentally let them sit any longer I start again, as tho making bottles in the first place isnt head wrecking! Pls reassure me 🤞

I’m a real stickler for the rules. Followed the SIDS guidelines to the letter, would never use a Sleepyhead etc. But I found the Perfect Prep to be a life saver (and I was combi feeding. I don’t know how anyone survives full time formula feeding within the current guidelines and stays sane!)

From what I’ve read up, the concerns about Perfect Preps have been massively overblown by the media and related to people who hadn’t maintained their machines properly. You need to run the cleaning cycles and you need to change the filter regularly. I’m entirely comfortable that the Perfect Prep machines are safe and fully intending to use it again for DS2. It’s really worth considering. I’d say do your own research and see how you feel. Within a day of having mine, I was like “why didn’t I buy this earlier?!”
