Am wondering if minki's would fit her. She's only 2 but chubby round legs and tummy. Nothing fits properly. DO NOT want to have to resort to disposables again.

At mo, have got sz 2 lollipop softee, aio motherese toddlease, fuzzis leak at legs and nothing else I've tried does up.

Pleeeeese... anyone??

tried kushies? - larger size, adjust on velcro?

Flamesparrow · 08/10/2007 07:13

A bambinex might fit. But if not, yes, a minki normally does it - an XL

NannyL · 08/10/2007 09:22

what about tots size 3?

DS is 36lb and Bumbles fit him. He has chunky legs and big toddler belly.

bobsmum · 08/10/2007 09:26

Tots size 3 did my son at night until he was 3.5 with an XL motherease wrap.

LizaRose · 08/10/2007 10:22

Standard minki XL are HUGE! They fit my solidly built 5 year old and are too large for my 4 year old (who is tall and skinny).

Flamesparrow · 08/10/2007 13:47

Lol, good point!

liahgen · 08/10/2007 16:00

what about the yoyo? they look quite slim. problem is they quite expensive and if they not right, i't's more money wasted.

The slinki minkis size up smaller than the standards. I have a large slinki for dd (13 mths, 22lb) and it fits when done up to its smallest setting. The standard XLs I have are yoyos, I think the sizing is the same but they have lycra panels so you can use them as pullups. If you email Michaela she will help you decide, and I'm sure you can return it if it doesn't fit (as long as it's unused and unwashed).

I still don't have any cloth I'm happy with for DS2 but I'm considering getting a Motherease toddlease and one of these wraps for a Tarzan look!

Flamesparrow · 08/10/2007 16:25

I have a pocket on order in that fabric

LizaRose · 08/10/2007 17:02

Actually I've lookied at the website and the sizes are not the same . It looks like you would need an XL in the velcro fastening, or Large in the yoyo.

liahgen · 08/10/2007 17:55

Ooh, I don't know. I just want something not too huge for my littls chubby. Cute,

things that don't fit are

fuzzi's
birth to potty, haha, nowhere near
any of the regular pockets, nature babies

Who is Micheala?
love the tarzan look btw

Dare I say it but I have a Bumble and a Kushies Ultra for sale - would do a deal if you want to try them out... If not there is a seller on eBay called the Funky Nappy lady and imo her Larges come up very roomy...

laura032004 · 08/10/2007 19:52

I have lots of Tots 3's. Poor DS2 has been in them since 3 weeks old (very very very heavy wetter!). They're great. They still fit DS1 at 3 and a half.

laura032004 · 08/10/2007 19:53

I use them with a ME XL or L airflow wrap depending on what comes out of the box

LizaRose · 09/10/2007 09:28

I've no doubt the minkis would do the job, if you got the right size, but they are not slim! Michaela is the lady who makes the nappies, she is very helpful and if you give her your dd's measurements she will help you get the right size.

Otherwise, like Laura says, you are looking at a size 3 shaped nappy like a tots size 3, motherease toddlease etc. There's a selection here. Nippa fastening may give you a neater fit than poppers/velcro.
