Aaahhh! Help with moving baby from Moses basket to Chico next to me crib

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for moving my 9 week old from her Moses basket into a Chicco next to me crib.

She is sleeping fantastically well in her Moses basket but is getting a bit too big for it. I tried to make the transition to her next to me crib but she’s having none of it. As soon as I put her down she’s squirming and grunting untill she’s awake 10 mins later.

I try settling her and putting her back down but the same thing happens again. I eventually gave up and put her in her Moses basket and she slept soundly.

Does anyone have any advice?

@JadeLemonade I sympathise as we had the same issue... it sounds a bit strange but I wrapped DD sheet around me for a while so my scent was on it & added a hot water bottle to the next to me just before she got in (took it out first 😄) so it was warm for her. After a few days she was fine

Ooh that’s a good idea. I’ll give that a try. I’m hoping it just because it’s new and a less cosy space. Hopefully she’ll get used to it in a few days. Thanks xx
