Hi, has anyone got ant ideas for activities suitable for a 3 year 10 month old and 10 month old? Both are very demanding at the moment so do not get the chance to spend one to one time with them and feeling like a completely rubbish mum.

Painting?

Honestly not much I can think of op apart from a small paddling pool, you with the little one obvs, sandpit, or one of those messy tray things.

Not sure a 10 month old would paint?!

Take them out. It’s so much easier thank staying in.
Feed the ducks, go to woods, go to parks. Find different kind of leaves, identify birds and trees.
Take a couple of balls to the local park.
Do you have a garden? Give them bowls of water in the garden and let them wash some of their toys.
Make a dinosaur or animal land with some stones and mud. Put toys on there.

10 month old would defo paint. More in a finger paint smearing way. But if you tape the paper down do it’s held in place and then get a paint tray it’s fine. They love it.

I was quite fortunate that my two were late movers, so it was easier to plonk my youngest as a baby sitting down doing something with my eldest and he could just watch along etc.

Painting is good. We used to tape the paper to the kitchen floor and leave them to it. Anything like playdoh, sand etc is also good, again also on the kitchen floor.

I also used to make a point of doing something with eldest when youngest was having his nap.
