Veggy weaning - can by 1 yr old eat meat alternatives?

My baby is just about to turn 1. Can they now eat veggy sausage and burgers and quorn nuggets as long as I check the salt content is not too high? She eats plenty of beans and cheese and ground seeds and nuts already. I’m just wondering if I am now able to diversify a bit more.

I gave my kids meat alternatives at that age.

We are veggie, DD has been eating meat alternatives right since we started weaning at 6m. Although she didn't really get the hang of eating til she was 1 anyway and at 2 she's stopped eating a lot of things she used to eat e.g. Quorn nuggets and burgers. She still likes the Quorn sausages, cocktail sausages, chicken style pieces, picnic eggs and she has recently started eating the Quorn chicken/ham-style slices too. She also likes soy mince, we use Granose mostly but sometimes Quorn.

Thank you. I think I’ll start giving those things a go.

Yes, it's fine. They serve quorn/similar for lunches at my youngest one's nursery a couple times a week (I think there are enough kids who are veg that it makes sense to to do a veg main a few times a week).
