Argh my baby’s hair!

My little cherub is 14 weeks old and has the most ridiculous interesting hair- sticks up on end in places, hardly anything growing towards the front making her look like her hairline is really really far back, and bald patches to boot! She is still extremely cute, but I’m just wondering whether anyone can relate? And any idea when we might start to see a recognisable head of hair?? Also I might be imagining it but I feel like in places it could actually be thinning out even more as time goes on- is that normal?

Her hair is lovely but she's isn't keen on getting it brushed, and refuses to tie it up, so it usually looks pretty wild! It often gets a special "conditioning treatment" in the form of ice cream 🙈

We didn't shave either, but interestingly, I think keeping their hair quite short for the toddler years helped the hair grow from wispy to quite thick.

For a while mine had a Mohican. He still had hair on the sides but it was normal lie flat hair but the stuff on top went straight up. It was a good couple of inches long so quite striking really.

I loved it and was quite sad when it grew too long and flopped over.

We did once have someone do a double take while out and came over asking "does your baby have a Mohican?" And then followed up with "how much gel did it take?" Confused erm none he was 3 months old we weren't putting product in his hair!

@Emmagen aww I absolutely love it when babies have Mohicans! As if you’d put gel on it though!! 🤣

Both mine lost hair when a few weeks old. DS had two big tufts either side and looked like a crazy rockhopper penguin when he was about 4 months old! Grin
