BEFORE the pandemic started.

I'm still at home with my dd who is 18m old. Allot of my friends have gone back to work so I only really socialise with them when they're free which is rare. I tend to speak with other mums when out and about at softplay or on the park.

I seen mine once a week for catch ups normally an evening or weekend or we would go out every other weekend with our husbands as well as a group I have gound the key to having happy family is to have the right balance of social life with friends etc and also with family x

I work 3 days a week and have a 21 month old. On my 2 days off work I would try to meet up with a 'mum friend' on each of those days. But I was fortunate that a few of them were also working part time so they were able to do so. Otherwise it's tricky. I found my parent-friends far less willing to meet up frequenly on weekends though as they understandably wanted family time (and so did we actually). I also went out on the occasional evening meal with friends but probably only once every few weeks. Sometimes we had friends over to ours in the evening, usually a couple friend with no kids, while our baby slept. Easier in the summer- we'd sit outside on the patio with bbq and Firepit and take the baby monitor with us!
