How long has your 3/4 yr old been on the iPad/tablet during lockdown? (No haters thanks)

Hi

Just trying to gauge whether mine has been on it too much. I berate myself when she’s on it but actually with a 6 month old to contend with sometimes it’s a must.

DC1 is 3 and on it about 2-3 hours a day. Some ‘educational’ apps, some not.

Sound about right?

Thanks x

My just turned 3 year old has about 60 - 90 mins a day screen time - we have a rule of no screentime before 5pm but do then let her settle down with Puffin Rock while I make dinner (I get her to help make lunch to make that easier and my husband looks after her while I am working).

If you are worried about sunburn/heat in the garden, would it help to get an outdoor kids tent for her? IKEA do a couple. Good for having pretend picnics with cuddly toys. Also a play tunnel is good for crawling through and likewise gives some shade. You can also get paddling pools with a shade.

My DS sleeps 10 hours a night so that leaves 14 hours.. I don't think that 3 hours of screens broken up through the day is that much in comparison. That leaves 11 hours of playing, walking, eating, washing, learning, asking for the iPad, Grin
