disciplining older kids in front of toddler?

Please help me guys my son has disciplinary problems and with school being out and him home all day it’s getting really bad . My husband thinks I should yell at him and spank him in front of our 2 year old daughter. He even said maybe she will learn not to misbehave if she sees it . I say no way she should not be seeing any of that because she is 2 . Thoughts anyone ? He thinks yelling and spanking will solve all the problems and I completely disagree.

Obviously you don't spank your children, regardless of who you do it in front of.

It's vile, abusive behaviour.

SomeoneElseEntirelyNow · 15/04/2020 03:07

Im not surprised your son has discipline issues, it sounds like your husband is an abusive arsehole.

This frankly reads like a troll post. Reported

No, don't do this and don't let him do it. Try and get your son out for exercise during the day. Are you in the US? Just wondered because of the time you posted and the words used.

Well of course it won't regardless of who you do it in front of. What exactly is a discipline problem?

avocadotofu · 15/04/2020 11:40

I really hope your message is a joke. Obviously if that's your approach to parenting that's why you have behaviour issues and I feel very sorry for your children.

Another one who hopes this is a joke. Yelling and spanking will only teach him that self-control isn't a virtue prized by adults. That is not a message you want either of your children to take away.
