Feel like 10 week old all of a sudden doesn’t like me!

Hi all,

For the past week my 10 week old just won’t take to me. For the past few weeks we’ve been having silly baby gobbledygook conversations and she now won’t interact with me at all. She won’t smile at silly noises or settle when I sit her on my lap. The only time she smiles is when she’s looking at her own face in the mirror on her play mat. The second my partner gets home from work it’s all smiles and her talking to him. It’s really upsetting me and just making me feel low. And thoughts on why this may be ? X

Mine went through lots of short phases in her first year. It's likely to be just that.

My DS did this for a little while, I put it down to the fact I was with him all the tjme and my husband worked a lot so when he did see him, his face would light up. Why don't you leave little one with your DH while you take a bath or nip the shops then see how little one reacts when you come back?

You are her world. She can now see longer distances and it just look at her surrounding.

I had exactly the same at 10 weeks. My experience coincided with New Years and I spent all of New Years Eve upset because DD was all smiles with everyone but me. She is now 19 weeks and wants nobody but me. They are funny little things. This will pass.

My son is 21months and still goes through phases like this one day he’s all me and the next all my other half don’t let it get you down soon the phase will pass
