I have had two medium Pea Pod Pocket nappies returned to me due to fualty stitching, the manufacturers don't want them back so I thought someone might want the chance to try them out. They have been washed but not worn and will fit approx 17-35lb. Free For Postage which will be £1.60.

oh i am indeed!!! i hung it on the line today unwashed of course and it smells of nothing!!! Put him in it tonight then took him back out as it was a thousand degrees in our house and i had to stuff his nappy so much i was sure he would pass out in the heat and he has a red winkle cushion so i lashed on some cream and put him in a dispicable..... tut tut.

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 20:45

lol.
whats a winkle cushion??
can you not just lay him in his hooge nappy, a t- shirt and thats it? you dont need a sleepy bag when its hot, do you?

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 20:52

his balls lol!!! i do put him in a thin sleepy bag - very thin (its pink and was his sisters!!) - makes sure he knows its big sleep time!

ah, fair enough (the bag)

winkle cushion! rofl! never heard it called that before hehe

did i ever post that ds1 tore a hole an inch long in his, falling out of a tree a couple of months ago?bloody nearly gave me heart failure that did!

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 21:08

oh no!! did it have to get stitched - eek! btw is there only us playing tonight? Tonight my dd (4) had been to a party and i tried to disarm her of her fruit shoot as we entered the house but obv the crap in it gives her super human powers so we had a kinda tug o war and she left go and she fell back and walloped her head on the outside brick wall - an eggy came up on the back of her head andit was huge so we had to walk round with the contents of the freezer on her head whilst discussing the potetial hazards of playing tug of war and not ruddy doing as your told - ohh i dont do accidents, its always to close to bedtime. We have no peas now for sunday dinner lol!

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 21:17

ouch!
those danged fruit shoots, eh? nothin but trouble they taste like crap anyway, god only knows why kids like them

ds3 is like that all the time... he is on the go, on the wind-up, testing and pushing every single second of the day... its sooooo tiring. thank god i dont have to do it on my own full time! id be commited i reckon. if he were my first, i never would have had any more

have you ever seen how fast the egg comes up on a forehead when they bang that, even lightly, on, say, the corner of a wall?? frightening!

re the ballbag - no, they didnt stitch it. junior doc in a&e was about to take him up to theatre to put him under, wash it out throughly and stitch it... when the consultant urologist came by and said, no worries, just stick a stri-strip on it, it'll be healed in 2 days.. and he was right!! 'mazin!

yes. i think it is just us tonight... am going on a bit - can you tell ive been cooped up all day??

1dilemma · 25/08/2007 21:19

lol you lot
So nappies were you using disposables begore then. How many dc's in nappies do you have? I always assumed tranquil was in Spain (all names are nice)

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 21:24

yes, i have created my very own landfill site using disposies birth to potty for 2 dc and for first 18m of third. no doubt i shall pay a high price from my karma pot for that one... sigh.

to be fair, i wanted to give it a go when ds1 was born (hes just 4 now)... but dp said hed having nothing to do with them, wouldnt change them and if he had to change him, hed put a disposable on him anyway.
which did kinda put me off tbh. doh!

only the 19mo is still in napppies now... tho they all are at night

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 21:25

i used to live in spain

1dilemma · 25/08/2007 21:28

lessen the average damage by having another!!!

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 21:28

i have a dd whos 4 and a ds who is in reusables age ermmm, well he was born in nov so 9/10 months. I have used sposies on dd and reusables on ds apart from some nights when i use sposies as my night stash is a bit poor but growing now ive found the wool! - i became a total addict to cloth with ds and am dreading when he is potty traingin though i guess i will have had enough of the sh** by then - what a sado! .... and hence the birth of nappyzone!

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 21:32

really nappyzone? was it difficult to set up? (i really need an occupation... being a home 24/7 is doing me in!)

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 21:36

it was a pita trying to do it whilst on maternity leave with 2 little people to amuse! but a learning curve as now i can bore the norks of everyone about building a website and nappies! , my eyes are probably dying from looking at this to much too!

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 21:37

if being at home does you in dont do something from home!!

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 21:41

spain --- ooo i jealous now

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 22:02

you built the website yoursef? not sure i could do that... (even tho dp set up his own website business last year and is now rated 'one of the 25 websites to watch' outside of US by cnn business [impressed])
i guess he could help with that part then...

NappiesGalore · 25/08/2007 22:07

er, good point. (re working from home.)

its not the being at home so much...or maybe it is? dunno. seem to be floundering a bit tho atm, confidence-wise etc.
am lucky as hell in that i have sufficient support to be able to go out and work if i want, or not if i want... have a 'nanny' (a young girl who struggles with the boring bits but the dc love her so thats alright) which takes the pressure off me... but i still like to be at home and about for the kids and i am in constant contact with them throughout the day (i dont go off and hide coz shes here. much )

anywho! yes, i want a 'purpose'. maybe i should volunteer somewhere...

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 22:18

just some structure helps i find! i was feeling pretty sh* when my days were challenged with bothering to get dressed!

PissyGalore · 25/08/2007 22:20

hah
yes
getting dressed is a habit one can fall out of isnt it?

i have found myself not remembering how to dress so i look decent (or not re-learning... body shape a little diff than before )

nappyzone · 25/08/2007 22:25

it was getting embarassing when the postie came at noon and i had to answer the door and still in my pj;s! - there not sexy so he knows its not a pick up line!!! i was just a lazy beast!

GlassesofwineGalore · 25/08/2007 22:34

hah
cam relate to that!

(my poor postie has seen me in some states)

FlameBatfink · 26/08/2007 01:41
