Bath time

I have bathed DS every night since he was a couple of weeks old as part of his night time routine. He absolutely adores bath time but I think it may be time to stop doing it daily. He is 4 months old and the logistics of it are getting more complicated! So my question is, how often do you bathe your babies?

18 months old - I bath every other day

We still bath every day at 2.5. It’s just part of bedtime for us.. tea is about 5pm, bath at 6.15 for 20 minutes, stories, milk, teeth, bed (and usually a fair bit of running around as my toddler is a monkey).

She loves her bath & just always seems to be filthy 😂 she’s usually got food, mud, paint, glue, glitter on herself somewhere! We wash hair once a week unless its really dirty & needs an extra wash.

They don’t need a daily wash though, especially as babies. Just a little wipe down with a muslin will suffice! And if you happen to have a less grubby toddler than mine!

We’ve never done daily baths - every two or three days usually unless we’ve had a messy tea or some similar occurrence. DS does love a bath - it involves a lot of splashing, playing and excitiment. If some people like it as part of a bedtime routine fair enough, but I don’t see how it’s a wind down - he’s not like me lying in there chilling with a book and a vino Grin

Lo is 14.5 months, and only ever had baths once or twice a week so far.
They are becoming more. Frequent as he's on the move and gets grubby quicker these days!

I still bathe my 14 month old pretty much every night. Mind you, he does get filthy.

Once a week with my 4 week old. She's just about enjoying the bath but still hates being dried! Top and tail her every day too.

Twice a week for us (18 month old). You could start by doing every 2nd night if that helps

Every night- though about 6 months ago my now 2 year old started refusing baths so now she showers

DivGirl · 15/12/2019 08:07

Probably about twice/thrice a week for my 20 month old. He'll ask for a bath if he wants one, and he always has one on a Monday evening.

We never did every night.
