Suffering with eminence mum guilt and need some reassurance please!

DD (6 months) was sitting up, fell backwards and hit the back of her head on the skirting board Sad stupidly googled and it said the back of the head is the worst place to hit! It also said if there's no swelling or bruising it's a bad thing - there's none!

I think she's fine, have spoken to 111 and the GP so know what to look out for but I can't stop worrying and want to burst out into tears

Someone please tell me their DC has done the same and is okay! I beg! Blush

I remember when ds1 fell backwards from sitting. He was on a soft playmat on a rug so no injuries but he howled, probably because he scared himself. I was so panicked I nearly took him to hospital 😂 I’m laughing at myself for being so ridiculous now but I remember how scary it is when they first hurt themselves. He’s 2 now and has survived much worse bumps to the head.

I know it’s worrying but it’s very, very unlikely a baby will have a serious injury from falling over when sitting, even if it is something like a skirting board she’s whacked her head on. There’s probably no bruise or bump because she’s not hit it hard enough for that.
