What would prompt you to book a treatment from a mobile beautician?

Hi everyone,

I started a mobile beauty business recently as I have been a qualified beautician for 6+ years and wanted to take the dive. Honestly I am just trying to build a client base and wanted to know your thoughts on the idea?

Do you like treatments at home?
What would prompt you to book a treatment for yourself?

If you have 2 minutes to spare I also have created a mini survey, I'd love to have some feedback! www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/QQRBJ3N

Home treatment for myself would be based on EXCELLENT reviews, you turning up and setting up BEFORE the treatment time started. Offering unsociable hours such as evenings and weekends and absolutely not having your phone on during the time. I had a mobile hairdresser and beautician coming to my house and the both took calls constantly while it was MY time. Infuriating

I go off of photos on social media of past work, I'm looking for skill but also has to be at a good price point because a beauty treatment for me is more of a luxury when I can afford it than part of my grooming ritual (or whatever you wanna call it)

Someone bought me vouchers for my baby shower for a beauty place that also offered mobile services. It was absolutely fantastic as I called them up and organised them to come to my house when my husband was still on paternity leave to give me a back neck and shoulder massage as well as a facial. As above, they came a bit early for the appointment to set everything up, which gave me a chance to feed the baby who was then taken away by DH and I was pampered in my own home but close to DD so that if she needed me I was on hand. And actually the beauty therapist was really understanding as well and said she could be flexible if timings got put out, but luckily they weren't!

I would love to get a massage at home late in the day so I can pop my pyjamas on and go to bed. Agree with others if I'm paying for a 45 min massage I want a 45 min massage. If it's a facial that has a mask, then I would want a head massage or hand massage while it was on, nothing worse than getting a mask on and then left for 10 mins.

I've done your survey but you need an answer box for 'I have a manicure whenever there is a special occasion' or 'Less frequently than 6 months'
