Hi, new baby due end of october, dd will be 3.1. She is walking a lot more, but still gets tired and needs the buggy from time to time. Also she is in the buggy on the rare occasions we go to town/shopping centre.
Do I need a double buggy, or can i get away with a sling for nb and the maclaren for dd? Or buggy board for dd and graco with pram insert for nb?
What have other mnetters done? Need advice please.
Oh and if you did use a bdl buggy - which one?

I had a three year exactly age gap. I just made my DD walk everywhere! We did buy a buggy board, but I found she wanted to use it all the time, and it was hard work, so I still have that, but I don't use it. I do have a second pushchair to sue for her if I am going for long days out etc, but then usually someone else goes along too, so they can push her. I also used a sling when DD2 was very small, but that was very rare.I just found we took more breaks, allowed more time to get to places and if we're caught short she jumps on the front of my pushchair, the footbar bit and has a ride. Other than that, she has learnt to walk. HTH

My oldest was 2.5 but a lazy walker - I'd decided to wait and see if i would need one and ended up rushing out to buy one when baby came along. Would recommend buying one on ebay there's always loads on. I just sold the one i bought for £170 for £25.
