Can't lift baby for 2 weeks

Hi,

Last week I had emergency surgery and they removed my gallbladder. I'm not allowed to lift anything heavy for 2 weeks. Unfortunately that includes my 6month DS who is rather a chunky monkey!

DH has this week off but can't take anymore time off work. Luckily I've got family and friends coming to cover a lot of next week but was after any advice on the time we'll be alone.

I'm thinking of having everything on the floor, his gym, toys, change mat and that I can give you him his bottle down there. It will prob hurt getting up off the floor but it's the safest place for him.

Anyone else had this or got any ideas? He thankfully doesn't roll yet.

I wouldnt think your 6 month old is classed as heavy...I had gaul bladder removed & was fine a few days later other than the trapped air pain in my shoulder...Unless yours had more complications...I'd take it easy...But cant see moving your baby around will be an issue.I had breast implants & an uplift 4 months after my son was born & I managed...Just find ways to shuffle them more easily. And dont pick up unless you have too.
