So this is baby number 2 for me, my first had reflux bad, he vomited after feeding etc, this one was a healthy weight 8.4 born, fed well good amount of ounces from birth, got home 4 nights in he started to show signs of discomfort at night absolute dream during the day never awake feeds well etc etc, however seemed to have watery stools HV not over concerned as baby's weight was good and he's canines weight no problem, however every night he's got worse with this squirming and grunting business starting 11-1 at night the whole three hours squirming grunting what sounds like he's been sick I go to wipe away spit up and nothings there, anyway he now settles pretty well little bit of fussyness but otherwise settles, however his poo during the morning is army green and a real pungent smell to it, I'm sure my first at 4 weeks old poo didn't smell like a bog along with regular trumps throughout the day that are pungent, anyway he settles aaround 11.30 sleeps till 2/3 and then it begins, start feeding him and it's grunting, snorting during feeding, his bibs ringing wet where when I'm feeding he's spitting it out whilst at the same time squirming in discomfort, trumping, and the sound on his stomach whilst I'm trying to feed him is a real rumble, he also seems to have a stuffy nose which still hasn't cleared 4 weeks on , he isn't crying at all during these times but seems in complete discomfort, eventually he will fall asleep, his next feed is then 5/6 in morn, again same remarole discomfort, squirming when feeding, bad trumps, hiccups etc etc, eventually settles down till 10 where he's feeding pretty normal no problems little bit of fussiness and then the feeds till 11.30 pm absolute dream ! Someone please help me what is this??? It seems to be getting worse as he's getting older, I'm going to ring HV in the morning but I don't want to be fobbed of like I was with my first where nothing got sorted TIL he was 3 months old, but I need to sleep with a wild two year old, you can tell no 2 is tired and hungry, but what is this ? Oh Yh need to mention he isn't sicky like no1 was, but does spit up occasionally but wouldn't say it's out the ordinary, help anyone ?

Xxx

Try a different brand of formula maybe? or anti colick bottles as may be too much wind?

My baby is 7 weeks old, and sounds similar in parts. After his night feeds he would fall back sleep but would be squirming and grunting so loud that I couldn't fall back sleep. (Didn't happen after any feeds in the day) I mentioned it to the HV and she said it could just be him digesting the milk, and having a bit of an uncomfortable tummy. This has now stopped - I've just put him back down after a feed and he's sleeping soundly - no more grunting Smile I hope this gets better for you soon too
