name change as i'm not ready to announce yet!! But i am a reg on here but am wondering which newborn nappies you would reccomend, money no object, want cute factor and not too bulky to start with- thinking some that will go from birth (possibly 6lber) to about 3 months

Congratulations!

I always say Bimbles by Easy Peasy nappies for newborns with Motherease Rikki wraps in x/s or small size over the top.

....Blimey, and money no object - you lucky thing!

maveta · 24/07/2007 15:49

congrats! I used bimbles and they were fab as newborn, I used them with small rikki but next time I would get xsmall for the extra neat fit.

Money no object, the newborn swaddlebees are GORGEOUS.. too cute for words.

In theory both of these should last til about 3 months, I think but my boy was out of his swaddlebees´ at about 8 weeks, I think, and the bimbles by 10 weeks. He was 8lb 1 oz at birth and 11lbs at 2 months if that gives you any idea of how long they might last your wee one.

thanks, its been a while since i bought newborn size, last time i used size 1 tots but they were huge!!!

Kissaluv size 0's are gorgeous! Personally I've got some kissaluvs in and am looking out for a bargain on bimbles and am hoping for a swaddlebees or two as well!

nappyzone · 24/07/2007 16:59

oo newborn - bambinex size 1 nippad or not or how about trying tiny white fuzzis? i laugh at the poss 6lb - i was told that or less - he ws 8lb 12 unlike my first who was 6 so dont bank on it! congrats anyway - cant wait to discover your true identity!

FlameDelacour · 24/07/2007 17:20

Money no object - get the swaddlebees ocv newborn, and some kissaluvs size 0!!!

The preemie fuzzis look sooo sweet too (DD has tried to swipe em for a doll )

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 09:36

no i can say quite confidently that it'll be around the 6lb mark or below- having had a 4lb5 and 5lb7!!!

Cheers, i just wanted some advice- i'm no good with newborn washables- how small will sz 1 teddys go? I will buy some tiny size 0's for the first few weeks so that i can go cloth without having to sacrifice the tiny newborn clothes!! dh is gonna kill me!! i'm staying in disguise for a few more weeks then i'll let you know!!

FlameDelacour · 25/07/2007 11:01

The size 1 teddies are still quite big - you could nippa them instead though? (I'm unpicking velcro for anyone who needs!)

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 11:09

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 11:13

FlameDelacour · 25/07/2007 11:23

You have a collection of nappies or sellers?!

C'mon!! I am always cr*p at the guessing thing!!!

Just a little email...

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 11:26

I'm glad to provide such intrigue!!

So what wraps would go over the swaddlebees nicely do you think? I'm not a great fan of motherease, is the nature babies small one small enough if you get me? Oh the decisions!!!

And Flame- between you and Cathy (bambinex) you're going to bankrupt me!!! swaddlebees- over a tenner a shot!! but i suppose they could be worth a few bob to resell!

FlameDelacour · 25/07/2007 11:29

You don't like windows do you?!

Nature babies small one should go down small enough when its all poppered down. The smallest bambinex one comes up slightly smaller than motherease doesn't it?

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 11:31

i've not tried a bambinex wrap yet- i did however have a nice organic cotton tester nappy a few weeks back

FlameDelacour · 25/07/2007 11:34

preggersagain · 25/07/2007 11:35

it was a size 1! you probably have no idea still!!! we do cross paths quite regularly!!

OP posts:
FlameDelacour · 25/07/2007 11:40

Hmm... it was a size one that I was thinking of. Will email the person I am thinking of (and see if she replies saying "What?!")
