This dad was kicked out of the labour room for telling a ‘joke’

‘The new dad aged 25 described the midwife as a “joyless hag of a nurse”.‘ 😱

I’ve just seen this on Dadsnet: www.thedadsnet.com/new-dad-kicked-out-of-delivery-room/

What do you think about it? No way my wife would have found that funny in the midst of labour!

I know the ‘extra stitch’ joke has always been there but strikes me as more of a ‘in the pub with your mates’ gag rather than during labour, to your wife.

But I think the midwife may have been a bit OTT!

URGH. You'd think these men would be too embarrassed to admit that they have such tiny penises that they need the extra stitch!
Vile pigs.

I suspect it was the straw that broke the camels back

Dear god the awful realisation you have procreated with a total knob. Poor woman

I also don't think this happened as reported. That "favourite pub burning down" line is not exactly original, what are the odds his wife (who OF COURSE thinks he's HILARIOUS) gave him the perfect setup line for it?

If he got kicked out of the room it was for being attention-seeking to the point where it was getting in the way of the midwife's job.

He sounds like the sort of twat who heckles at wedding speeches and expects everyone to laugh at his hilarity.

The midwife, however, is an absolute hero, thank God someone was looking out for his poor wife when she was at her most vulnerable.

As a midwife I can’t even put into words how boring these type of men are. What a tool. Many a time I’ve wanted to throw a man like this out of the delivery room.

I generally just feel sad for the women who have just tied themselves for life to these irritating pricks.

DameSquashalot · 11/06/2019 09:19

He sounds like a twat.

I’m a midwife. We only kick out men if they are abusive to staff, or if their partners ask us to.

I suspect his partner wasn’t as ok with his comments as he thinks she was Hmm

BertrandRussell · 11/06/2019 09:23

Urgh.

BeautifulWintersMorning · 11/06/2019 09:27

As the jokes are quite well worn, he probably lacks any wit himself and just looks up jokes in advance on the internet

You'd think these men would be too embarrassed to admit that they have such tiny penises that they need the extra stitch!

It should be a compulsory part of midwife training that they use that as a comeback line every time some pathetic man comes up with these "jokes".
