Healthy baby after infection in pregnancy

Hi all
Has anyone had an infection with high temperatures while pregnant? I’m currently 17 weeks and had a fever for 3 days now. Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this and still delivered a healthy baby. Was told that high temperature is very dangerous in pregnancy. I’m on antibiotics and paracetamol

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had a chest infection, high temperature and felt really unwell. Doctor said baby would be fine and he is 3 weeks old now 😁

God yes. On one pregnancy alone I had to have antibiotics twice for tonsillitis and a bad chest infection. I was badly badly ill for more than a week each time before I gave in and went to dr.

Happyspud how old is your baby now? Glad to know there are others, I though I can’t be the only one with high temperature.

Lootus, being pregnant you have a low immune system so you’ll find that many women pick up illnesses they wouldn’t usually during pregnancy. That baby is now nearly 5. But I had sickness on most of my pregnancies, due to low immune system. In fact I realised I was pregnant two of the times due to illness in advance of missed periods.
