I honestly think my kids make about 100 demands on me an hour

Three under ten including a toddler. Half term. I have been counting up the “where is” and “can I have” and “watch me” demands today and I swear it is about a hundred an hour. I feel like a shell shocked soldier.

Are you touched out too? I used to get to the point where I just wanted to sit in a corner in silence with no one touching me, not even a hug. If you have a partner get them to watch the dc so you can go for a walk around the block. Breath deeply and listen to the birds, it helps a little!

Only 100... PAH!... you're a lightweight.

I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old. They can ask 100 what/where/why questions in a minute!

haha - I have to woman up. Still 100 an hour from 6am-8pm - that is 14000 demands... even if I just grunt back that is a lot of effort in grunting

I hide in the loo but they still call for me.

They never bother dh in shower but I never get a shower in peace. Dh said just ignore them but a) they come and find me and b) what if it is an emergency

Earbuds and audiobooks. When they touch you, instant response “NO!”. 1 hr per day.

DownWentTheFlag · 01/06/2019 00:51

I thought it was just me! My toddler has a hearing loss, so not only to I have to reply to his constant questions, I have to repeat each answer 2 or 3 times.
